Amber Thompson grew up in Brunswick, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs in 2019. Amber always dreamed of becoming an attorney, so she moved to Charleston, South Carolina immediately following graduation to attend the Charleston School of Law. While in law school, Amber served as President of the Women in Law Society, Student Ambassador, Federal Student Bar Association member, Child Advocacy and Family Law Society Member, and member of the Dean’s Diversity Council. She graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2021. Following graduation, Amber accepted a position with the King Law Firm in Jacksonville, North Carolina where she practiced in areas of family law, criminal law, real estate, and bankruptcy. Amber joined the McDonald Worley team in 2023.
Amber is married to Aaron who currently serves in the United States Marine Corps. They share a Springer Spaniel named Dallas.
