Background
Christopher A. Long combines deep litigation experience with a practical, client-first approach to pursuing justice for individuals seriously injured by negligence.
Mr. Long is a senior litigation attorney with nearly two decades of experience handling high-exposure personal injury, construction accident, and complex liability matters in New York and New Jersey. He brings a rare dual-perspective to plaintiff-side litigation, having spent the majority of his career defending owners, developers, contractors, architects, engineers, and insurers in major construction and Labor Law cases before transitioning to plaintiff advocacy.
Prior to joining McDonald Worley, Mr. Long managed and litigated hundreds of complex cases with aggregate values exceeding several hundred million dollars. His experience includes comprehensive case valuation, cost-benefit analysis, strategic litigation planning, discovery oversight, motion practice, and negotiation through all phases of litigation. He has supervised large caseloads, mentored junior attorneys, and served in leadership roles at nationally recognized firms.
Mr. Long’s background provides him with a strategic advantage in prosecuting personal injury and construction accident claims, as he understands how defendants, insurers, and risk managers evaluate exposure, defenses, and settlement posture. He regularly counsels clients on litigation strategy, manages expectations, and works to position cases for favorable resolution or trial.
Mr. Long is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York. He has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and Super Lawyers – Rising Star. He speaks Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian.
When not fighting for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, cat, and dog. He spends free time grilling, hiking, and camping. He is also an avid soccer, water polo, and swimming fan.
