Former TV Reporter Files Lawsuit After Injured in Texas Car Crash

A former television reporter for Houston-based KTRK, Wayne Dolcefino, recently filed a lawsuit against the driver and the company that employed the driver, AT&T, after a Texas car crash, Chron reports.

According to the Chron article, Dolcefino was hit head-on by the driver who worked for AT&T. As a result of the Texas car crash, which happened about 130 miles north of Austin, Dolcefino filed a lawsuit against both the driver and the driver’s employer, citing negligence. The driver was ticketed at the time of the crash, according to Chron.

“This accident is a result of gross negligence, and AT&T, through its employee, has refused to cooperate in our investigation,” the lawyer for Dolcefino said in a statement. The Texas car crash lawsuit was filed in late June in Travis County.

Dolcefino was an investigative reporter for ABC13 who now owns his own investigative consulting firm, according to an article by ABC13. The accident happened in April as Dolcefino was traveling as part of his business. His accident led to severe injuries involving his pelvis and foot, and required surgery as a result, the article states.
