William H. Barfield

In the 16 plus years since Bill received his law degree, he has handled thousands of cases involving nursing home neglect and abuse, defective medical devices, dangerous drugs, complex product liability disputes, commercial litigation, eminent domain and condemnation matters, personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, defective automobiles, and intellectual property disputes.

As an accomplished trial lawyer, Bill continues to be recognized by his peers and the judiciary for his many accomplishments. During his legal career, he has fought tirelessly for justice on behalf of his clients and has an impressive history of legal victories.

Bill’s professional dedication has not gone unnoticed. The National Trial Lawyers Association named him to the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” in 2013, and he is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell—its highest rating. He is also rated as “Superb” (10.0 out of 10.0) by AVVO.com legal ratings.

He has been certified as a life member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which are prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States with fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers as members.

Bill has been selected to the 2015 list as a member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. NADC is an organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of legal excellence. Its mission is to objectively recognize the attorneys who elevate the standards of the Bar and provide a benchmark for other lawyers to emulate. Members are thoroughly vetted by a research team, selected by a blue-ribbon panel of attorneys with podium status from independently neutral organizations, and approved by a judicial review board as exhibiting virtue in the practice of law. Due to the incredible selectivity of the appointment process, only the top one percent of attorneys in the United States are awarded membership in NADC. This elite class of advocates consists of the finest leaders of the legal profession from across the nation.
