Severe Bleeding from Xarelto Prompts Legal Claim

A plaintiff has alleged severe bleeding from Xarelto in a lawsuit against the manufacturer Janssen Research & Development and Johnson & Johnson.

Patricia H. says that severe bleeding developed as a result of taking the drug, but that she was never told about the dangerous risks associated with use of and how it could contribute to internal bleeding.

The lawsuit alleges that the manufacturers knew about the dangerous risks or should have known about them and failed to disclose them to patients and the medical community.

The medication is also known as Rivaroxaban, a drug used to control the risk of systemic embolism and stroke in those patients who have non-valvular atrial fibrillation to treat pulmonary embolism, to reduce the occurrence of PE or DVT and to treat deep vein thrombosis directly.

According to the severe bleeding from Xarelto lawsuit, however, the defendants used marketing materials which made it appear as though was safe for use by patients, but that the defendants did not carry out appropriate tests on humans through clinical trials to verify whether or not the drug was truly safe.

A number of different side effects, including severe bleeding, have been lodged in adverse event reports filed with the Food and Drug Administration and in recent lawsuits.

The severe bleeding from Xarelto litigation in this case says that the defendants concealed their knowledge about the defect in the product from pharmacists, physicians, the plaintiff, the public in general and the FDA.

The severe bleeding from Xarelto lawsuit is pursuing compensatory damages as a result of a life-threatening bleeding event and other personal injuries suffered by the patient.

The severe bleeding from Xarelto lawsuit was filed after the plaintiff was given in April 2015 for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis.

Xarelto was used through Sept. 20, 2016, at which point the patient allegedly developed a life-threatening gastrointestinal bleed. Unfortunately, severe bleeding is a common allegation in lawsuits and adverse event reports.

The plaintiff says that she suffered life-threatening bleeding and other personal injuries which were lasting and permanent in nature and that the manufacturers are responsible for critical injuries and failure to warn about these dangers.

hospital-bedsUnfortunately, severe bleeding is a common and dangerous side effect experienced by far too many of the drug’s users.

Plenty of those users experienced a life-threatening bleed and then had to go to the hospital for emergency care.

Certain patients who lived through that experience have filed lawsuits against the drug’s maker.

Those patients who have already suffered an event such as severe bleeding from Xarelto might be entitled to file a lawsuit with the help of experienced attorneys.
