Amy Shahan is a Senior Associate at McDonald Worley and has over 20 years of experience representing clients who have been harmed by defective products and dangerous pharmaceuticals. Amy earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law where she served on the Baylor Law Review. Upon graduation, Amy served as a law clerk for the Honorable Tom James (Ret.) of the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas.
After clerking, Amy immediately ventured into the mass tort arena by accepting a position at Baron & Budd where she briefed substantive trial court motions and responses and litigated claims on behalf of clients harmed by asbestos and the diet drug Fen-Phen. Amy took a brief break from the practice of mass torts at which time she focused on family, probate, and personal injury claims. But Amy returned to a mass tort practice as representing people harmed by defective products is Amy’s passion. Most recently, Amy was a partner at Nachawati Law Group where she managed the firm’s pre-litigation department, which included the intake, data entry, medical records, and filing departments.
Amy relocated from Dallas to Houston and joined McDonald Worley in November 2022. Amy is excited to be handling several mass tort dockets, including Round Up, CPAP, and Essure. During her free time, Amy explores Houston, travels to new destinations, and spends time with friends and family.
