Crash Alert: Teen bicyclist killed in hit-and-run accident

HOUSTON, TX – A teenager was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident in west Harris County early Thursday morning, Click2Houston reports.

The 16-year-old was reportedly riding a BMX bicycle near the 2500 block of Greenhouse Road when he was struck by the driver of a Mazda 6 around 2:36 a.m. The victim was thrown onto a nearby median and was killed upon impact.

The Mazda did not stop at the scene — authorities believe that the Mazda 6 is missing its driver’s side housing, front-left wheel well, and front left bumper cover.
