A seventy-three-year-old woman lost her life in an auto accident, only a dozen blocks from her home in Brooklyn, the police reported on Friday.
Monica Herbert was a passenger in a Honda CRV that crashed with a Dodge Ram at the corner of Clarendon Road and E. 37th St. in East Flatbush. The collision happened at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, the police reported.
The truck was driving eastward on Clarendon Road when it hit the Honda while making a left turn from E. 37th St. into Clarendon’s westbound lane, the police said.
Doctors were not able to save the woman and pronounced her dead at the scene. The forty-four-year-old woman who was driving the car was taken to Kings County Hospital.
