Man Killed in an Ambush in Southeast Houston

A man has died, and a woman was critically wounded after they were shot in their driveway. The incident happened early on Friday morning.

Sometime after 2 a.m., the shooting occurred in the 8700 block of Koala Drive in southeast Houston. The Houston police said that the couple just got back home when someone with a gun was waiting for them.

The police suspect that the shooting might have been related to drugs. They found some drugs at the scene, which led the police to assume that a possible robbery for the drugs occurred.

The wounded man died while he was transported to the hospital, and the woman was stable, authorities said. They believe the man and the woman knew the shooter.

The police are still looking for the shooter.

This is a case of wrongful death. A death is considered wrongful when it was not supposed to happen. When a person dies due to someone’s negligence or mall intention, it can be considered as wrongful death. Also, wrongful death can occur because of a medical mistake or in an accident caused by a negligent driver.

When people file a lawsuit for wrongful death, they don’t do that on behalf of the deceased person, but for themselves. The compensation claims go for the family; the money will help them move on with their lives.

Only the closest people of the victim, such as spouses, children, or parents can file a wrongful death lawsuit.
