Crash Alert: Woman killed in drunk driving collision on the Southwest Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed in a drunk driving collision on the Southwest Freeway Saturday night, according to the Houston Police Department.

Authorities say 31-year-old Marcus Daniel Guien was driving while intoxicated on the Southwest Freeway when his black Ford F-150 struck a concrete barrier near the freeway’s 1900 block, ejecting his front-seat passenger onto the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Guien and a backseat passenger were not injured. Guien was determined to be intoxicated and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
