Crash Alert: Two women die after rideshare vehicle is hit by chase suspect

HOUSTON, TX – Two women died Saturday night when their rideshare vehicle was hit by a driver fleeing police, reports KHOU 11.

Authorities attempted to stop the vehicle after it ran a red light, but the suspect refused to pull over. He sped off before slamming into the rideshare car at 10200 Jensen Drive with enough force to cut that vehicle in half.

The unidentified victims were both passengers in the vehicle, and were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither the suspect nor the driver of the car were hurt.

Charges are pending against the suspect.
