HOUSTON, TX – Two pedestrians were hit and killed in separate incidents while trying to cross the same road within 24 hours of each other this week, abc13 reports.
Both accidents happened on Westheimer Road. The first accident happened on Friday morning when a woman attempted to cross Westheimer near Stoney Brook Drive and was struck by a suspected DUI driver. The female pedestrian died at the scene.
The second accident happened around 1 a.m. Saturday when a man tried to cross Westheimer near Hillcroft Avenue. Police do not suspect driver impairment and call it a tragic accident.
Neither victim has yet been identified.
