Crash Alert: Two killed in northeast Houston crash

HOUSTON, TX. – A 25-year-old woman and a 3-year-old boy were killed in a collision in northeast Houston on Wednesday.

According to NBC 2 News Houston, the crash occurred around noon at the North Sam Houston Parkway East service road and Lee Road intersection. Reports indicate the driver of a Buick Park Avenue ran a red light at Lee Road and was struck by a tractor-trailer driving on the service road. The Buick then hit two other vehicles, including a truck and a parked car.

The driver of the Buick was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Two passengers, a woman and a child, were also taken to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation, and police have not yet filed any charges at this time.
