Crash Alert: Two Dead, Three Injured In Huntsville Crash On I-190

HUNTSVILLE, TX – Two people are dead and three people, including two small children, are injured following a head-on collision on I-190 near FM 2296 that happened last Saturday.

According to KWTX, a Nissan SUV was driving east on I-190 when it entered the westbound lane to pass another vehicle. While in the westbound lane, the Nissan collided head-on with a Chevrolet Suburban driving west.

The driver of the Nissan and a passenger in the Suburban died at the scene. The driver of the Suburban was taken to a local hospital. Two children under the age of 10, who were also in the Suburban, were airlifted to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.

It is not clear whether there were more occupants in the Nissan besides the driver. KWTX reports that no charges will be filed because the causing driver died.
