Crash Alert: Teenage Brothers Killed in Crash on I-69

CLEVELAND, TX – Two teenage brothers died in a car accident on I-69 last Saturday when a commercial van rear-ended the family’s car, sending them into the back of a pickup truck.

According to an article from KHOU, one of the boys died at the scene. The other died while being transferred to HCA Cleveland Hospital. The brothers were 14 and 19.

The boys’ parents, who were also in the car, suffered minor injuries. The driver of the van also sustained minor injuries.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-69 near the South Fork of the San Jacinto River.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. It is not clear whether the parents will press charges against the driver of the van.
