Crash Alert: Police chase ends in dramatic crash

HOUSTON, TX – A police chase through southwest Houston early Monday morning ended when the suspect crashed into a bystander’s car, splitting it in two.

According to a report from Click2Houston, the chase started around 3 a.m. when the suspect fled a routine traffic stop. Officers gave pursuit until the suspect hit another vehicle on Westheimer Road and Stoney Brook Drive, splitting it in half.

Two occupants of the suspect’s car were taken to a local hospital, as were the occupants of the vehicle they hit. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended.
