HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian is dead after being hit by an 18-wheeler truck in the 700 block of South State Highway 6 on Wednesday afternoon, KHOU reports.

According to KHOU, the male pedestrian was crossing Highway 6 southbound near Memorial Drive when the semi-truck hit him at 1:30 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating the incident.
