Crash Alert: Pasadena officer injured in motorcycle accident on Almeda Genoa

HOUSTON, TX – A 25-year veteran of the Pasadena police force was injured in an accident in the 6200 block of Almeda Genoa on Saturday.

According to KHOU, the unidentified officer was in uniform and on his police motorcycle at the time of the crash. The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. The officer and another vehicle were approaching each other from opposite directions on Almeda Genoa when the car turned in front of the officer.

The officer engaged his siren to warn the other motorist, to no avail. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.

Houston police are investigating.
