Crash Alert: One dead in alleged street racing crash

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed in an alleged street racing crash that occurred on the night of Wednesday, July 8, according to the team at KHOU 11. 

Two cars were reportedly racing on the street when one of them suddenly veered off the road and crashed into a nearby tree. The car split in two and the driver, 24-year-old Jim Lopez-Orellana, was declared dead at the scene. The crash took place near 10100 North Houston Rosslyn Road at around 10:40 p.m.
