Crash Alert: Officer-involved collision sends three to hospital

HOUSTON, TX – A Houston police patrol car slammed into another vehicle while en route to an emergency call at around midnight Tuesday, according to Fox 26.

Authorities reported that the collision happened at the intersection of Hempstead Road and Fairbanks North Houston Road. The officer was driving eastbound on Hempstead when they collided with a southbound car on Fairbanks.

An adult and a child from the other vehicle were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, as was the officer. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and remained at the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
