Crash Alert: Motorcyclist dragged for half a mile on the East Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist is expected to survive after he was dragged half a mile down the East Freeway Tuesday night, according to the team at Click2Houston.

The man was traveling with a group on the East Freeway near McCarty Street around 10 p.m. when he struck a vehicle and fell off his motorcycle, which burst into flames. He was then hit by a white Chevrolet pickup truck and dragged for half a mile.

The driver of the truck did not remain at the scene. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, and is expected to recover.
