Crash Alert: Driver missing after truck struck by train in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Officials are searching for the occupants of a truck that was struck by a train in Harris County early Wednesday morning.

According to KHOU, the two-mile-long train hit the truck within the 12700 block of Homestead Road near the Eastex Freeway northeast of downtown Houston.

Authorities believe the truck was dragged nearly 50 yards before coming to rest on the side of the tracks. No occupants were found at the scene. An investigation is underway into the owner of the truck.
