The Harris County Sheriff’s Department told KHOU that the child who was airlifted did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
It is not clear how the accident happened, but photos from the Spring Fire Department show an 18-wheeler and purple passenger vehicle that came to a rest in some trees off the side of the highway.
Police were still investigating as of that afternoon.
