HOUSTON, TX – An ambulance collided with a delivery truck early Monday morning while it was responding to an emergency call, KHOU reports.
The collision resulted in unspecified minor injuries.
The ambulance was responding to a call with its lights and sirens blaring at approximately 4 a.m., when it went through a red light at the intersection of S. Beltway 8 and Bissonnet and crashed into a Frito-Lay truck. The force of the collision sent the ambulance careening into a passenger vehicle that was stopped at the light.
Houston police launched an investigation into the crash later that morning.
