HOUSTON, TX – An elderly woman died Monday after being struck by a driver who lost consciousness while behind the wheel. The incident happened in the 13100 block of Kimberley Lane.
According to ABC 13, the female driver had a toddler in the car with her when she lost consciousness due to an apparent medical emergency. The car careened into a 70-year-old woman who was out walking with a friend, killing her.
The 37-year-old driver did not show signs of intoxication, and is cooperating with the police. No charges have been filed.
