Crash Alert: 30-year-old driver dead after colliding with cement truck

HOUSTON, TX – A 30-year-old man died after colliding with a cement truck in the 10000 block of Mykawa Road near Madden Lane on Tuesday.

KHOU reports that the accident happened at around 1:15 a.m. on Oct. 27. The driver of the cement truck told police he was turning left onto Mykawa Rd when a speeding Toyota Avalon hit his truck. The driver of the Toyota died at the scene.

Police have determined that while the Toyota was speeding at the time of the crash, they suspect that the truck driver may not have properly yielded. No charges have been filed yet, but the crash remains under investigation.
