HOUSTON, TX – A man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol was ejected from his vehicle after crashing it on a residential street in Harris County Sunday.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez called the driver “lucky to be alive.” Gonzalez did not confirm the site of the accident, but it appears to be in a residential neighborhood. The driver of the vehicle did not suffer life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
