Crash Alert: Drunk driver crashes car, injuring children inside

HOUSTON, TX – A drunk driver crashed a car with five children inside it into another vehicle and then a tree on Friday night, ABC 13 reports.

A 35-year-old woman was driving a group of five young girls near 3200 Greenhouse Road when she ran a red light’s intersection with Morton Road. She slammed into a vehicle being driven by a 56-year-old man before crashing into a tree inside a median.

The woman, a 13-year-old, 5-year-old, and the man in the other vehicle were hospitalized after the incident. They are all reported to be in stable condition.

A girl inside the vehicle told authorities that the woman was drinking from a vodka bottle before the accident. The 35-year-old woman confessed to being intoxicated at the time of the crash. Charges have yet to be filed.
