Will Hatchett’s primary purpose is to help people in need. His practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses of all sizes in a wide array of litigation matters. Will has decided to dedicate his career to representing real people who have been wronged by large corporations and billion-dollar companies. Will focuses his practice on representing individuals who have been hurt by no fault of their own. He takes pride in advocating for his clients in the pursuit to bring them the fair and just resolution they deserve.
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Will obtained his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and his law degree from South Texas College of Law. At South Texas, Will excelled in the school’s nationally renowned trial advocacy program under the legendary Dean T. Gerald Treece. In recognition of his advocacy, he received the Dean’s Outstanding Advocate Award and was inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers – a national honorary society for those who demonstrate extraordinary skills in the courtroom.
Will remains actively involved in the development and growth of the South Texas College of Law Trial Advocacy Program, shortly after graduation he was asked to return to the law school as a coach in trial advocacy to help pass on the invaluable experience that he learned from many great coaches.
Prior to law school, Will worked for one of the nation’s largest energy providers as a control room operator where he was on a team that operated the nation’s largest renewable energy portfolio. While working in that fast-paced and stressful environment, he learned to find resolutions to problems in an effective and efficient manner.
Before joining McDonald Worley in 2021, Will practiced at another prominent firm where he gained considerable experience in first-party bad faith insurance disputes. While there, his passion for helping people who had been wronged grew. He looks forward to every opportunity he gets to apply the skills he learned during law school and from his previous experience. He applies his work ethic, perseverance, and passion for helping people to be a voice for those who have been taken advantage of and deserve a fair resolution.
In his free time, Will enjoys watching college football, the Dallas Cowboys golfing, hunting, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
