Crash Alert: Pedestrian killed while crossing I-45
HOUSTON, TX – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross I-45 near West Mount Houston Road on Sunday, reports the Houston Chronicle.
At around 10:30 p.m., police received multiple concerned calls alerting them that a man was trying to cross the busy stretch of interstate. However, no one appears to have witnessed the fatal collision itself, and the causing vehicle was gone by the time they arrived.
Police were able to find debris from the collision at the crash scene, and are hoping this leads them to the perpetrator.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released.
